Chiba is a Reploid with complications beyond his reach.
Chiba Masato is created and told right off the start that he is going to do great things as he is the newest, greatest species of Reploid to exist - New Generation. He has a Copy Chip which grants him the unique ability of changing into any Reploid whose DNA is stored onto his Copy Chip, be it on there already or gained afterwards...
... Until the Jakob Incident.
Instantly after his creation, New Generation Reploids begin to go Maverick. Sigma threatens the peace of the world and the success of the Jakob Project. And the Project's Operator, Lumine, is kidnapped. After all is said and done, Lumine is discovered to have gone Maverick. Countries halt the creation of New Gens...
But some had a different goal in mind.
They wanted to eradicate them. Prevent future Mavericks. Japan was no exception. New Gens had to become Maverick Hunters in hopes of dying on a mission, or be destroyed...
Forced to pick, Chiba chose life, and began his internal struggle to save the world from the dreadful SYN-UNKNOWN Organization. In the end, Chiba will choose between saving the world, or himself.

Bravo Team
Bravo Team is a Maverick Hunting Team made especially for the combat of SYN-UNKNOWN; all Maverick Hunting New Gens were placed on this team, and sent to fight a possibly strong, unknown enemy in hopes that they will die as per the Government's decision. They are composed of it's team leader, Nobuyuki who has great leadership skills, Akamru, the Long-Range Weapon Master and heavyweight, Chieko, the Strategic Data Collector, Shizuko the Close-Range Weapon Master, Aki, the Combat and Distractor, and Chiba himself, as a rookie. They are soon joined by a SYN member claiming to have changed, named "Izanami Kaede", aka SYN-Intelligence of SYN-Lust; their first fight in the town of Chiba.
